Paula Umaña, a former tennis champion born in Costa Rica, now resides in Atlanta with her husband, Serge, and their five children. Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, she manages her own tennis business. Despite facing a paralyzing neurological condition in 2015, she embraces her role as a Catholic speaker, finding purpose through her ministry, “Gifts of Hope.” She speaks at churches, schools, corporations, conferences, and media outlets like EWTN, Univision, and the FORMED platform. Amid her disability, she authored 40 Gifts of Hope, a practical guide for those facing suffering, supported by Archbishop Rev. Gregory Hartmyer. Discover hope at
