Plan Your Trip to Indy

Dive into the details with confidence as you prepare for the historic 10th National Eucharistic Congress. If you have questions after reviewing the resources and recommendations below, reach out to our team for support.

Overnight Accommodations

Attendees have ample options as they book their stay in Indianapolis. Consider which type of housing is best for you and your group.

Hotels

You can research and book a room directly using the link below. Rooms are going fast, so we encourage you to book as soon as possible.

If you are searching for rooms outside the NEC housing block, you can research and book a room directly using the link below. Rooms are going fast, so we encourage you to book as soon as possible.

Vacation Rentals

If a hotel is not your preferred housing option, we recommend booking a vacation rental through popular sites like Airbnb and VRBO. Consider coordinating with other attendees from your community to find a rental property that fits your needs, and enjoy even more time for fellowship throughout the Congress.

Get Creative

If you know you are called to attend this historic gathering, we invite you to think outside the box as you consider your overnight housing. If hotels and vacation rentals do not suit your needs, you still have options!

Consider these additional creative housing solutions:

  • Contact any friends or family members in the surrounding areas

  • Find a charming bed and breakfast for an extra-cozy stay

  • Research campgrounds near the city

  • Contact local retreat centers and inquire about renting a room

Youth Groups

Attention youth ministry group leaders! If you’re looking for a more affordable option for your teens and chaperones, information about alternate housing solutions such as dorms and parish halls and gyms is now available.

We have partnered with JMJ Youth Pilgrimages to coordinate these alternate housing opportunities, so please click here or contact them at info@jmjyouth.com or 800-601-7225 to discuss the options available for your group.

Religious Sister Housing

We have secured dorm bed housing for religious sisters at Butler University. A limited number of beds are available and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Transportation will be provided via shuttle bus from Butler University to downtown each morning between 6:00–8:00am and from downtown back to Butler University each evening between 10:00pm–midnight. Outside of these provided hours, each group is responsible for their own transportation back and forth.

Volunteer Opportunities:
We invite all religious sisters to consider serving as Volunteer Staff during the Congress. This is a full-time volunteer role. Each Volunteer Staff will be placed on a team to serve with others on that team for the duration of the event. Specific duties and volunteer hours will be assigned by your team lead. Volunteer Staff do not need to pay for an event pass, as they will be serving in a volunteer capacity rather than attending the event, but are responsible for covering their travel and accommodation costs. Volunteer Staff must arrive in time to attend an all-day training on Tuesday, July 16th, beginning at 9:00am. If you are interested in this opportunity or have additional questions about it, please contact us at housingrequests@eucharisticcongress.org.

All religious sisters (whether serving as Volunteer Staff or registered as Congress participants) will be invited to assist with the flow of communion during liturgies at the Congress and to participate in the liturgical procession for the city-wide Eucharistic Procession on Saturday. We are so grateful for your presence and witness!

Seminarian Housing

We have secured dorm beds for seminarians at UIndy. Thanks to the generosity of donors, we are able to cover the majority of the cost of this housing in exchange for your seminarian’s willingness to serve as volunteers during the event.

The housing package includes accommodations for 4 nights (Wednesday, July 17-Sunday, July 21), breakfast each morning, and linens for the duration of the stay. A non-refundable booking fee of $75 per seminarian is required to take advantage of this offering and secure a bed. Additional nights, if needed, are available on Monday (July 15), Tuesday (July 16), and Sunday (July 21), for a fee of $40 per night. Breakfast is not included in additional nights.

Please note that transportation between UIndy and downtown is not provided. Each group is responsible for their own transportation back and forth.

As there are a limited number of beds, each diocese will be initially restricted to a maximum of 10 beds. The latest deadline to register for these accommodations is April 21st, but be aware that beds may sell out prior to then, so don’t wait to submit your request!

Registration for seminarian housing has closed. If you have any questions, please contact Maggie Hagenauer at mhagenauer@archindy.org.

Parking

We are working with two major parking providers in the downtown Indianapolis area who have arranged special rates for the National Eucharistic Congress. Parking passes are available to purchase for single days or for the entirety of the event. We highly encourage you to secure parking by purchasing a pass ahead of time. Consider carpooling with friends, family, or fellow parishioners to save on parking costs. Please read the information below and select an option that best suits your parking needs.

Wherever you choose to park, be sure to remove all personal items from your vehicle. The NEC is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles.

Buses

Bus Loading/Unloading

There will be designated loading and unloading areas for buses. The location and details about this process will be provided to group leaders closer to the event dates. There will be no fee to access the loading and unloading zones, but the bus cannot be parked in these areas and the driver must stay with the bus at all times. The bus staging zones will be strictly for loading and unloading only.

Bus Parking

Buses needing to park downtown must purchase a parking pass. The Gate Ten lot has bus parking available and the cost for buses is $75 per day. See below for more information on how to purchase a pass at this lot. Personal items should not be left unattended on the bus. The NEC is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles.
